Ivan Meyer (Brazil) SotW Mouthpiece Pass Around
I have volunteered to organize a mouthpiece pass around for Ivan Meyer of Brazil. If you have not yet heard of his work, please see this thread.
http://forum.saxontheweb.net/showthread.php?t=113276
For now, I am soliciting participants for both alto and tenor mouthpiece trials. If you visit Ivan's website at http://www.ivanmeyer.com/ you will see and, I believe appreciate, an order form that belies an attempt to make a custom mouthpiece for each player. That makes it especially tough to order a stock mouthpiece for a pass around so I am hoping that people will help me and Ivan to make a better selection for the pass around by indicating your individual preferences in a mouthpiece. Given enough participants, Ivan can then choose a design that will hopefully appeal to most participants.
When posting a followup request to participate, please indicate alto/tenor, tip size, and an indication of what works for you. For instance: I'm into large chamber tenor pieces with a touch of baffle - typically a tip opening of .110 to .120". Pieces that have worked well for me are Otto Link derivatives.
Here are the volunteers to date:

Thanks for this opportunity, Ivan. This shall be exciting!

Re: Ivan Meyer (Brazil) SotW Mouthpiece Pass Around
If we are adding to the list for the passaround, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring. And $200 USD is a great price.
On alto, I'd like something with around a .080 tip, large chamber and Link STM-style rollover baffle. But something that is better balanced for an alto than the STM.

I would like to participate. Large chamber, modest baffle, 0.110, and would very much like to try an aluminum piece. Thanks!

Re: Ivan Meyer (Brazil) SotW Mouthpiece Pass Around
I would be into checking out any of the alto or soprano pieces.
Edit: I would probably prefer the jazz or classical models on alto, but I'm not afraid of baffles, so anything goes really. No real preference on the tip opening either.

Re: Ivan Meyer (Brazil) SotW Mouthpiece Pass Around
alto and/or tenor would be great. I prefer low- to mid-baffle pieces with medium-large to large chambers on both alto and tenor. But, I've played everything over the years and feel competent to comment on most any style mouthpiece that is more moderate than a pea-shooter guardala.

Re: Ivan Meyer (Brazil) SotW Mouthpiece Pass Around
I'm still with Doc on the measurements. Since Ivan will be sending out so many pieces I'd like to try both the pop and jazz tenor pieces and one of the soprano pieces.
Thanks to Doc for setting this all up and Big thanks to Ivan for being so generous with his time and his talent.

No sweat Dr G, and thanks very much for doing this. My preference would be for a large chamber with a moderate amount of baffle and around a 0.100" tip.
Thanks again.

Re: Ivan Meyer (Brazil) SotW Mouthpiece Pass Around
Hows the Pass along coming? The MPCs in good order? And have we figured out what their facings are going to be yet?

I would like to participate on alto and soprano.
The soprano 7 and the classical 7 alto would both be great.
