    Default Woodwind Pro Soprano Saxophone

I currently own a Selmer Alto Saxophone and would like to purchase a soprano sax. I recently saw a soprano sax for sale at the Woodwind & Brasswind internet page.
    This is the link:

Does anyone have any experience with this manufacturer. The sax is selling for about $600.

    Please advice...thank you!

My school owns the intermediate model. after I bought a Selmer Metal Classic, I have no intonation issues and it sounds really good. still having trouble popping out the F and F#, and the low Bb but that could be becuase its severely out of adjustment. WE have had it for a few years and maybe been played a total of 6 times or so before I got it, so it's fairly new. I would bring it to a tech. if you have around 900 or so to spend go with the antigua from Kessler or a Cannonball. both are very good horns around that price area. and according to my band director no one will service them but WWBW.

A few years ago, I bought the curved WW sop sax. It had a nice sound but the scale (intonation) made it unusable in an ensemble and useless for practice. In MY opinion, the one I bought was a poor example of then-Taiwanese saxophones.

Since then, the Taiwanese have stepped up to the plate. I second the recommendation to contact Kessler in Las Vegas and explore the Antigua line. You may get into one cheaper than $900, too. DAVE

Thanks for the advice. I have also done a search on this forum for related topics...I believe I will look into purchasing an Antigua Soprano...
