about twenty years ago I started playing on Selmer Omega reeds. I absolutely loved the sound of these reeds. My sax teacher bought about 1000 boxes of these reeds. Well I've exhausted my supply of them does anyone know where these reeds can be found? I would love to get my hands on some more of them. I hated lavoz and vandoren. So I started playing hemke and marca otherwise there aren't any other reeds that i like.

I have a box of selmer omega reeds. I don't think they're made anymore. They were my dads when he played back in college. He never touched the box! They're nice cane, but I've found it neccessary to balance and shave most of them. Neat reeds.
I think it's just a matter of what your used to. Keep looking around and you'll find one you like.
Most "good" reeds are five to seven $ a piece up here in canada. I just go with the good ol' rico orange box. Good luck!
