WELL... a long chain of events has just occurred, leading to me basically having nothing to do this summer. I know about the Aebersold jazz camp which I'm considering doing, and I was looking at the Rascher Saxophone Quartet masterclasses at WVU but just found out it's too late to register. Are there any other good music classes/camps (ADULT-oriented, not kiddie stuff) that I outta know about? Travel isn't an issue, unless it's all the way across the country or something.

You might want to check into the Cardinal Workshop at the Univ. of Louisville. It is geared toward saxophone ensemble playing and is often attended by some fine musicians. A professional pianist is provided for solo and masterclass performances as well. It is open to high school students and adults. It runs from July 12-18 and is reasonably priced at around $300 for tuition and room. If you would like more info contact me at VintageSax@aol.com and I'll dig up an email address of the contact person.

Deadline was March 31...are they full up?

I second the Cardinal workshop. It's a really great experience and a good time, too.
