I recently purchased a silver Dolnet tenor, s/n 29xxx. Sadly the neck had been stolen and replaced with a neck of unknown origin.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could find a proper Dolnet replacement. Failing that, how would I go about finding a different neck which will do justice to the horn?

I don't believe this, Ed. I'm fairly sure I'll be looking for a replacement neck for my Dolnet as well, see above post. My neck looks O.K., but I'm not sure if it is as good as it looks, it has been repaired once at least. Still, condolences on having yours stolen, I can't say that I've seen a straight replacement in any of the shops in my neck (sorry) of the woods.

Do you have any suggestions for what type of replacement neck would be suitable for my Dolnet tenor?

Hi Ed
Sorry mate, but I'm the newbie in these matters, I'm not a good person to ask advice from
Dawkes, of Maidenhead, my local repairers, had no necks of the same bore as mine. The Dolnet expert is "Laurie" who has a business in Devon. I don't have his details to hand, but if you want I could try and find them for you
If you start a new thread, he might reply
By the way, I haven't got around to doing anything about mine, yet
Have you tried Gloger? Expensive (but worth it) hand-made necks.
