I have a vito sax. the serial is 554146. can anyone tell me anything about my sax? Check out what i did to the bell (the lacquer was coming off anyway.)7658

Is it stamped "Made in Japan" or "Made in Taiwan"?
There are Vito horns from both countries with the 5xxxxx series serial number, but they are usually stamped with the country of origiin.
If "Made in Japan" it is a Yamaha horn.
If "Made in Taiwan" it may be KHS.

From what I can see of the F#-G# adjustment arm, it looks like a Yamaha.

Thanks for moving my post. I wasn't sure if it was conn or leblanc. Under the serial # it just says Japan.. so it must be yamaha made.

Also do you think this is a good horn for a 5th year saxophonist in a jazz band?

If it's in good adjustment and plays fine, it's plenty good for a 5th year sax player.
