Original post a casualty of the meltdown. Was glad to hear from all that replied, but there must be a lot more out there. Would be happy to get together for a jam if possible.
I saw a post from BeerCan which listed Albany location (real close).
Tharruf - Yes you are in the real north country, but not out of reach. I have a good friend who plays guitar with me and also snowmobiles. Might be fun to schedule a snowmobile weekend next winter and jam in the evening. Be sure to E-mail me if you're going to come to Ballston Spa.
Years ago I used to play with a lady (piano player) who lives in Canton. The last time we got together was at her house in Canton in 1979. Her name is Elaine Swarthout - last I heard she was in poor health ( in her 80's) so I don't know if she still plays. It's a small town so she may be able to connect you with other musicians.

Hi! I lived in Glens Falls for 5 yrs., 1990-1995. That was during my non-sax period though. I liked going to the jazz place in Saratoga Springs, can't remember the name of it now. Good group, great singer.

Audrey,

Hello from another 'sort of' Utican.

I was born in Utica, spent several of my little boy years living in New Hartford, then lived in Ohio for 38 years - most of my young man and adult life. Then last year my wife and I moved back to New York but we live WAY north...in Clayton...just 3 blocks from the St. Lawrence River.

Several months ago, I took my wife and daughter on a little trip to Utica and New Hartford to show them where I grew up - our old house - my grandparents old house. It was very weird to walk up and down my old street again after all of these years. Of course all of the houses looked different and I didn't recognize anyone.
