aquired a old (new to me) sax

Can anyone tell me much about the Leblanc Noblet Paris horn.... I am looking for a good vintage classical horn, and I've been thinking about buying a Conn or a buechuer (sp) sax

Never heard of Leblanc Noblet saxes, but I have a Leblanc system alto here and that horn just has an amazing classical tone. It's also extremely rare. But the intonation is excellent and the tone is clear and centered. Very good horn if you're a French school guy... but then again I am using it with a barrel chamber just fine.

The Conns are amazing jazz horns. Huge full rich sound. But for classical, there's just something not right about the tone... I think the sound is too big, but then again a big tone is a good thing in all applications. I don't know how to describe it. But then again you have guys like like David Wright who use Conns for classical and sound amazing.

Bueschers are the ultimate vintage classical horn. Anything from True Tones to New Aristocrat to Aristocrat will serve you well. the True tones have the richest sound, but the intonation and ergonomics and general playability are better on the Aristocrat. The New Aristocrat has a little bit of both. But all Bueschers have an amazing focussed and dark tone, with lots of resonance. However, if you're going to be using a Selmer or Vandoren mouthpiece on them, or anything like, no doubt you will not be getting all that you can out of a Buescher.

I guess these horns are just referred to as the Noblet, I know they are made in paris. the bell says ND, Noblet Paris, below it says made in france...

I've been strongly wanting to get a Buescher true tone...silver....I have a selmer omega 2001, it is a selmer USA copy...the horn is great...but the response im looking for is not there anymore....when I was a Jr in high school it was fast....now it's not...
