I have heard a lot about these clarinet mouthpieces, and I was curious if anyone here has played on one. Rheuben Allen does a lot of work for some of the top LA studio musicians, and some heavy woodwind specialists are now using these mouthpieces (Dan Higgins, Bob Sheppard, etc.)

I may order a few to try, but I was just curious if anyone else has had any experience with them.

JS: Not that I'm in the same class as many of Rhueben's clients, but he works on my horns. I've visited his shop many times (last Tuesday the latest). I've seen the mouthpieces but not tried them. I've tried his clarinet barrels and they worked fine. I've asked him to make me a short one, but so far he has not been able to do so. I've tried his line of Unison clarinets - they were okay for student-stuff. I've ordered a new Unison alto from him. The next time I go there, I will ask to try his mouthpioeces. DAVE
