I noticed that WW&BW is selling a "Verve" maple drum kit for $399. Anyone familiar with these? As I'm not a drummer, I don't see the point in spending a lot of money on drums, so I'm wondering about this "Verve" brand. I guess it's another WW&BW house brand, as I don't really see it anywhere else.

I found some reviews on the WW&BW site but most of them are not for the maple kit.

It seems that a "brand name" kit in this price range would be made out of fibreglass instead of wood, no?

ok, I am obviously a drummer, drums cost so much because of the work that goes into them and gathering several large sheets of select woods such as maple and birch, $399 is not a lot for a drum set at all, mine cost me around $900 and they go up to like $15,000, a lot of work also goes into gathering all the parts that go on the shells too.
