I am living in Nicaragua with 50 years old and recently my 25's son bought a TENOR YAMAHA YTS-82Z.
He and I are a very beginners in saxo.
What kind of mouthpiece, reed, ligature... I need to have to play better the bossanova and samba (brasilian music).
I will very apreciate any recomendation on this matter.
Thanks for your kind and prompt attention.

You may want to play for awhile using the mouthpiece that came with the horn, as it will be easy to play for a beginner. Once you have developed some technique, I recommend an Otto Link "tone edge" hard rubber mouthpiece.

Ahh... shades of Stan Getz.

I'm not sure that there is a "right" mouthpiece/ligature for Bossa Nova. Stan Getz changed his set up several times in his carreer settling (I think) on a very stiff reed to get his trademark "breathy" sound.
Joe Henderson, on the other hand, has a louder, more aggressive tone.
I think that the sounds of Bossa Nova have to come from the rich harmonies in the chords and from the tropical feeling in your soul - the mouthpiece doesn't factor in that much.
Learn your chords and scales. Hang out with acoustic guitar players and see how they use 9ths and 13ths! That'll get you to Bossa more quickly!
