Bb Tenor....this would be my first Tenor, years ago I had an Alto but
had to sell it for a new/used amplifier (I'm a guitar hack). I know that
Holton's get roundly dissed on the forum, but I'd consider it a great
favor if you guys and Ladies would take a look at this one....
I've been doing my homework for two weeks now and to my eyes this
one looks a little "Wonder-ish". I'm also a preservationist by nature.
Thanks for looking this one over for me, your eyes will see what my
inexperienced eyes can't see.

I don't know which one you are talking about, but one that is listed looks pretty nice with a gold wash bell and satin silver body. This one looks like one of the Holtons that was from the earlier period, maybe the teens. I prefer the ones that were made by Martin with the soldered tone holes and as I recall, this one has the drawn but not rolld ones. My opinion is that you would be better with a newer student line Yamaha or even a Selmer product as the problem areas of this old Holton are an unknown and I think they were asking a bit too much the last I saw it. If you are talking about one of the Collegiate Holtons that have been listed, the situation may be similar. Post a link and I will take a look.
