First time I've seen an Amati bari with rolled tone holes. Model is Classic Deluxe (ABS 21?); serial number 55769. I'd guess it was made in the 60s; perhaps by Richard Keilwerth?

I see Lignatone trade mark left from "Classic".

TRANSITONAL model between Lignatone (Toneking - Keilwerth stencil/copy) and usual Amati

May be. I sold on Ebay several years ago one silver Bb Lignatone bari (s/n 33***). Very good horn.

Words of my buyer from WA: "You were right, the high register is very good and the low register very warm and rich. The lion and the lily on the bell are appropriate. It can growl or play sweet and pretty".

Your sax similar sound?

I have a silver Lignatone bari with rolled tone holes, s/n 46xxx that plays nicely. Is there any way to find out when this horn was made?
