Yes, of course it's freeform Euro-jazz...3 Germans and a Dutchman, all well up on their slaptongue and multiphonics. They get a nice collective rhythmic mosh, sort of like an anthill full of ants the size of hippopotamuses.

Schrott in German is scrap, junk, usually the metal kind.

BTW, they play a Conn 14M, Conn stencil Bruno, Keilwerth, and Buescher (which of course they call a Büscher).

Hey, the music biz is rough. I'm not going to pick on anyone for their style. It's fun checking out the horns. 4 basses - what's not to like?

I'd love to see 4 basses arraanged in spread harmony, octaves or fifths (even tenths) on the bottom, thirds and fourths on top, playing ANYTHING.

Bass saxophone is available in so many styles, from Andreas van Zoelen to Rollini to Scott Robinson to Van Oostrom (have you heard Licks & Brains?), and rock & roll (check out Pete Seeger's new band with bass sax).
