I am interested to buy an alto B&S Codera. Some people are afraid of the Resoblade parts. If I buy it and some day I need to repad the horn but I can not find the part, is it possible if it is repadded with regular pads without the Resoblades ? Maybe it will change the sound, but my point is if we can replace the pads with let say B&S 2001 pads.
How about the B&S 2001 pads alone? Are they just regular pads ?
Any body has an idea ?
I appreciate anyone who give me a good response.

gijanto,
there is no option to repad the keys featuring resoblades using regular pads.
There are and will be spare parts available, even updates/upgrades for B&S Codera horns (which have been produced by VMI Germany, makers of B&S and Guardala horns) are/will be available via Codera-windstruments&tools.
All spare parts and updates will be listed on our website www.codera.com in the beginning of March.
The pads on the B&S 2001 horns are regular pads.
The B&S Codera Horns are excellent-I have both the tenor and alto. On the tenor I added the new Codera Resolution Nickel Silver neck, and plan to do the same on the alto.
I have also tried (at NAMM) the new B&S 2006 MEDUSA horns, both alto and tenor, and they were excellent as well.
I can't wait to try out one of the new Codera Horns.
