I'm in band that is just starting out and we need some music to get off the ground. I was wondering if you guys have any music that would be good for a band composed of a tenor, alto, guitar, bass, and piano setup.

So true. I take a Workshop where we play out of the REal book with some direction. It is a good source.

Go to Sher Music online. They have tons of books with Bb and Eb books for sax. Good charts overall and even parts on some of the more complicated stuff.
One stop and you have it. There is also the Real Book as mentioned and a new book around town called the Blue Book of all great usable tunes. It says "Great Gig Book" on the cover, I think. The changes are a little annoying since they pick some turn around changes that some guys do live rather than just getting the basic changes in and letting the players fix it up on their own. But, every tune is a tune you can do live and most you will want anyway.
www.shermusic.com == JAZZ Styles and Latin Jazz too. See examples of Charts.

Greg, question about the Blue Book: Is it a legit, published book that can be purchased in stores, or is it an under-the-counter thing like the original Real Books?

It is one of the BAD books. Sorry... Takes some checking if you need one.

I second Sher books, especially the Standards Real Book.
