my bari's in the shop! just regular maintenance things for those vintage horns...so I know it will be better when it gets back......but that's not for a couple of weeks!

just need to whine about not having it around. my house is so.....empty......so lonely.....

its even worse when you can't quite afford the repairs. now i have to sit around the house and look at my crippled bari until i have the dough to fix it. its one of the most dire tortures known to man.

you know how in the movhes they show people washing dishes when they can't afford the check? I wonder if the repair tech would make you polish all the horns......

If you are skilled at all, there are a lot of tasks around a shop that you can perform. I occasionally trade service work for someone to clean horns, scrape shellac, etc...never hurts to ask

Try having it in the shop for two weeks while your jazz band is rehearsing without you. And none of the players from the other bands will lend theirs to you. And there is only four weeks from one concert to the next! Now _that_ was a horribly painful experience.
