I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have here so I can list it correctly on eBay. Based on what I have dug up online, it appears to be a 1928 C.G. Conn Mezzo Soprano / F Alto. The serial number is M213699; above that is an "F" and below is an "L". Can I tell the model based on that? I appreciate any helpful information.

I would believe so. That is very very rare. How'd you get it?

My grandma gave it to me, I don't know how she got it. It does need to be fixed up before it can be played, probably some new springs and pads. Would a potential buyer want it to be refurbished or would they prefer to fix it up themselves?

Wow, that would be worth a lot of money should you decide to sell it. But think carefully - it's a treasure in itself!

Given that we each may have our preferences as to who does the work and how, I'd recommend just getting it cleaned and taking some excellent pictures of it.
