Does anyone know of any sax theme screen savers?

no, but if you find a pic or graphic of a sax that you like, you can save it as wallpaper.

To play off what Hornstar said, this is not a screen saver, but there is a program floating around, freeware, called Panorama, that you can set up to change your desktop wallpaper at predetermined intervals, and you can load in your jpgs, etc,
I use it on my work computer, have some of Kim C's cartoons, shots of Lenny Pickett, Keith Crosson, the big man, Zoot Sax, Keith Ridenhour, Bootman etc all in rotation. ;-)
quite cool...

I downloaded software a while back that lets you create screensavers, but have never gotten around to testing it out. I have plans for it and not sure if it is shareware that will time out, or whatever, so I have delayed using it. check download.com etc.

I’m so honoured. Thanks Bill! :D

There is a freeware product called gphotoshow that will show any set of pics as a screensaver. I use it with a collection of B&W photos of sax greats I got by doing an image search on Google.

If anyone wants to download a MKVI backround image (a detail of a MKVI tenor I used to have) in their computers, there is one on my webpage http://www.kolumbus.fi/timo.haanmaki/ scroll down page a bit and you should find it.

The Panorama program that Bill refers to is available at www.ivory.org

Yet another option for rotating images as both wallpapers and screensavers is the free WebShots software, available at www.webshots.com

I don't know about other versions of Windows, but in Windows XP, if you right-click the desktop and select properties, and then click on the "Screensaver" tab, you will get a window with a drop-down menu of standard Windows screen savers. Included in the list is one called "My Pictures Slideshow." You just put all of the images you want to show into a directory, and in the "Settings" for the Slideshow tell it what that directory is. You can specify how quickly the images change, the size of the images, transition effects, etc.

Simple, effective, and free!

The advantage of Webshots is that it works for Macs pre-OS X :).

How 'bout downloading a couple hundred of my best sax photos from www.saxpics.com? I've got some rather artsy shots there.

Again, thanks all.

I put together a nifty saxoholic's screen saver program using Webshots as suggested. I then downloaded a stack of images from several sources - Saxpics, a Google search, E-bay ads, and a number of other sites.

It was easy, and fun to boot.

You can download two different, although similar, screensavers for either PC or Mac format off the Yamaha website. They are pretty cool, but obviously they feature a certain brand of sax.
Keep playin'

Sam - beautiful horn shot - you inspired me - here's a couple of pictures of my Super20 that unfortunately show all the pitting! But feel free to use them if you like!

Yamaha has one for the new Custom Z:

go to www.yahama.com
click on "USA" under Musical Instruments and Professional Audio products
click Band and Orchestral Instruments
click Wind Instrument Downloads
click Wallpaper and Screensavers

I downloaded about 100 jpegs of Keilwerth horns from saxpics site and others, and used Win XP's built-in slide show feature. Very, very cool.

I think I've discovered a problem with this method though...I catch myself stopping at the computer every time I walk by just to stand and watch the sax pictures float by.
