Any knowledge/thoughts about whether Boosey & Hawkes horns(Edgeware) were dealer imported into the US during 50s or 60s? I'm aware that Oxfords (Edgwares with straight toneholes)were imported into Canada (I believe through a dealer network) and Concertone(?) was the Sears Kohlert stencil in the 50s. But with a fairly regular flow of Edgware horns showing up on eBay and elsewhere, I'm curious as to "How did they get here?".... Was there a US importer of B&H instruments, back in the day?

Must have been. My uncle connected my parents with one in 63 or so. Nice horn (great for the beginner I was).

My brain may be fooling me after so long, but it may even have been Montgomery-Ward that was selling them.

See this ad from the 50's. Seems B & H had own office in both the USA and Canada at that time.
