Sorry if this is the wrong forum; I is a silly newb.

My Selmer AS300, which, at the time, seemed like a wonderful horn due to the Selmer name, is an utter piece of crap. It has indeed been abused, but an entire key rod falling off randomly is just a wee bit out there. So, I'm in the market for a new horn. Concert season only; the AS300 will continue to be tourtured in the hell for instruments that is marching band.

I had the oppertunity to play on a Keilwerth straight alto, and absoultley loved the experience. However, Keilwerth's prices are way, way too high. I was wondering if any other company had production line of straight altos. Thanks!

LA Sax makes both a straight tenor and alto. http://www.lasax.com/straight.htm
The WWandBW site has a B-stock alto for $2205.

Admittedly, I've only played the L.A. Sax curved models but, as the owner of some JK horns, I'd save the extra money and get the Keilwerth. I think my alto is more than 30% better horn that the L.A. Sax alto I played.

I agree, Morry. I haven't played a LA Sax straight alto, but I've played a normal, curved model, and I'd take even my current horn over it. Thanks anyway, tomsch.
