Hello All:

Can anyone suggest a practice book for an adult beginner on Soprano? I'm 37 now. I played the alto for 6 year when i was MUCH younger( Jr. and Sr.) highschool.
I'm also interest in any input the group could give for a mpc.
The sax came with an old Otto link that needs to be replaced (NOW)!
I have a 1926 Buescher TT soprano.
If anyone also has the name of a good sax instructor in Minneapolis, please let me know.

Thanks

Steven :o

The only one I've come across that specifically covers soprano is the Berklee Practice Method: Tenor Sax (And Soprano Sax).

There also seems to be several non-specific/general beginner books, such as, the Rubank Elementary Method: Saxophone.

Hope this helps.

And, I assume that apart from embouchure tips, one could readily use any of the tenor sax books.

ANY sax books, PERIOD! It is just another saxophone-but more difficult!
