It should peel paint fromt the wall with a ton of resonance. The VKS I had was so resonant you could feel the vibrations at your finger tips. Get the best setup for you and I can't imagine you would be disappointed assuming no other playability issues exist such as pad leaks, poor regulation, intonation, etc. In short, it should be an excellent horn that is fun to play.

I just won one on ebay. I'm hoping it plays like an early New King.

I brought the Kohlert alto to abadcliche today...I won't have anything to report until June though.

In case anyone was holding their breath, Art_Salt has had a pretty bad case of GAS lately and is holding off on the Kohlert for now.

Me? Nothing. I hadn't started on it yet, and he bought another horn and is getting rid of the VKS.

yes, yes. I got a good deal on a King Super 20 alto...unfortunately, I used up the funds I had put aside for the overhaul of the Kohlert alto. So, in the next few days, I'm going to throw the Kohlert back on ebay for what I paid for it ($300 BIN). PM me if interested.

sold for $300 BIN. I hope the new owner fixes it up...it looked like it had the potential to be a real cool horn.
