Has anyone tried Jim Schmidt's Contralto? It's the one with the new fingering system. It looks really interesting-would like to try it, but I must've misplaced the extra $9000 I had lying around. . ..

Check it out at cvip.fresno.com/~js210/default.html.

9000 $/euros seem awfully lots of money for new design saxophone. Plus I dont trust anything with CAPITAL letters and bold text used for advertising.

Gandar - I know what you mean about Caps/bold, but I must say that I've dealt with a lot of good sellers on ebay (mostly old gits like me) who either couldn't be bothered with - or didn't understand - new technology.

Most of them wouldn't know a 'Caps Lock' from a CD-drive - so be nice to us in our old age......

However I have to say that as a C-Melody, and C-clarinet, player I'm intrigued. But paying 9000 Euro's ceratinly would stop me sleeping !

Regards Alan.

Yes, I will be nice. Though I must say, that there is quite little caps/bold, when comparing to some eBay-ads. And the pages are well-made, with good deal of information. BUT, some testimonials, comments and soundfiles could help. I have no intension, or money, to buy new saxophone, but I was just giving my two cents. Anyone never played one of those?

(English is foreign language to me, so I have sometimes difficulties saying what I mean)
