This previous turkey day, I had the pleasure to play my grandma's father's ( so I suppose my great-grandfather's) 1903 Conn Alto Trombone. She had the slide re-alligned after a horrible 'sitting' accident. That's all she would refer to it as. Dunno why. It sounded great. I had been playing trombone for only a mere week and a half prior, and only knew Concert Bflat scale. Let me tell you, the was the sexiest sounding concert Bflat scale I have ever heard come out of a trombone, if I don't say so my self. The serial number was 76766, and had origional mouthpiece and case. I had to fit some foam pads into the case, because the case could easily kill that horn. Conn, apparently, is notorious for making, shall I say, 'naked' cases.

Hey.. I can play trombone? Sweet!
