There is a supplement for arthritis and tendonitis called Glucosamine. It works, but it takes a month or two for results. It helps the body repair tendons, ligaments and cartillage. I discovered it through working out, but it has really helped my tendonitis. Aside from that, take a few months off. Sucks to be you, but if you don't it'll get worse.

With neck or back pain I was shown a great exercise. Stand with your back to the wall and you feet out about two feet from the wall. Bend your knees slightly and try to lay your lower back and your neck against the wall for a couple of minutes.

Also for your neck, put your hands against your chin and push in and up towards the back of your head and let your neck straighten out. Forget about harness straps if your back hurts - wieght is weight, and the harness is a pain to get used to.

A great song to listen to for pain and generall tension is one by Maestro Fresh Wes.....

Good Luck!

There are several pills on the market containing glycsamin.
Which one did you take?

It's called glucosamine. I take pure glucosamine sulfate. I'm in Canada and there are different regulations than the states. There are some reputable brands. Hunt around. Don't buy it at the corner store or pharmacy - go to a health food store.

Glucosamine is sold in the US as a health suppliment. I have been taking it for a fw years for arthritis in my fingers. It is often sold in combination with something called chondroitin, which is extracted from shark cartilage. My doctor recommended it to me. It seems to help. The cheapest place to buy it is Walmart.

You can get both along with MSM in a variety of brands. K

Hi gang. I'm back. Still playing, and enjoying the use of my hands pain free. My wrists have gotten progressively better. I've taken good care of them and done what I was told would work. It worked.

Take it easy.

This glucosamine sounds really promising, expecially as falling down the stairs today and breaking my fall with my left (tendonitis afflicted) arm didn't help the elbow pain any. I just hope it's not one of those miracle drugs you can only find on the (for me) other side of the pond !

" for your neck, put your hands against your chin and push in and up towards the back of your head "
I'm not so sure I would push backwards on my jaw...too much stress on the joint. Maybe on the forehead. Better yet, find out from a doctor what good neck strengthening exercises are...My doctor gave me an isometric exercise to strengthen my neck and help reduce too much curve in my upper back...lay flat on the floor on your stomach with your elbows supporting your upper torso and your forearms and hands out in front of you so that your upper chest is curving up, belly and legs flat on floor, and keep your head up. Hold this postition for awhile...not complicated, easy...works, too.

Thanks Benny. That tip is similar to an exercise that I was told to do when I was going to a physiotherapist.

You can also lay on your back with your head off the edge (like on a bed or couch) and hold that for a minute or however long seems good.
