I just obtained an all bright silver (neck, body, bell and keys) Super 20 tenor #339XXX with full pearl side keys in near mint condition. Are these rare? I've never seen one like it.

If it's original, it was probably a special-order. So, yes, it's very rare.

Nah, they're a dime a dozen. I'll give you a 100 bucks for it, just to be kind. :-)

Jazzstarr,

Any way you can post a picture? That's got to be one seriously pretty baby!

I have a 1964 Super 20 alto, SS neck, brass bell, which is a wonderful horn, but not nearly as rare as yours.

JS,I'm curious too..is the body tube actually solid sterling (stamped) or is it silver-plated ?? All sterling would certainly be rare indeed..does it have the Gold inlay as well?..I picked up a Cleveland SilverSonic/Gold Tenor #385xxx a few mos back..no side pearls but it's got engraved Bell keys..the horn is mint like brand new cond..what a PLAYER!!
