Did selmer make a Mark vi c melody or was production of c-melody saxes extinct by that time?????

Doubtful at the best and i'm not sure selmer made any C mels, the only ones i can think of is the buescher and conn made models for selmer

Actually I think they did make a C-melody--but not a VI as far as I am aware. As I recall, Mark Overton at Saxquest had one in once and it wasn't the Selmer NY horn either, it appeared be similar to a cigar cutter-type.
Selmer did make French C-melody saxes. The French Selmer site shows Modele 26 and Balanced Action horns:

I've also heard of a Modele 22 with low A.

The Selmer Paris low A C-Melody in my collection is a Modele 26 or slightly later.

Selmer made Balanced Action C tenors.
This was a grandfather of the Mark VI.
