Folks I've been thinking about getting a bari for quite a while. I've never really seen one up close or even held one, what's the scoop on that "bottom octave key"? Please pardon my ignorance...... :?:

You use that to play the low A. On my Yani it makes the house rumble. :D

Thanks for clearing that up! Is that it's only function and does it set off the neighbor's car alarm?

It should be the only function...
But maybe you should better no use while playing nears ships - they could be irritated *grins*

Hi Blossom! I used to sometimes watch your television show here in America when I was quite a bit younger......I bought a new Allora bari today off e-bay(from Music123.com). They're made by VMI in your country(they also make B&S saxes). Have you ever played B&S and if so what did you think? I guess I could use the bari as a foghorn if I was near a ship, depending on the weather......
