I have a local source for slippery elm powder. I am new to the clarinet, but I understand that slippery elm makes for a great cork lubricant. Anyone know what to mix it with to make it into a usable paste? I was thinking of using almond oil.

Why not just buy it ready-mixed by clarinet-playing, research-chemist who has mixed it properly and evaluated it properly, and is unlikely to tell his recipe, instead of just guessing.

I just received some of the Doctors's slippery elm cork grease and I am impressed.
