I've been a long time alto player and picked up playing the tenor six months ago. I could always get out a F# or G on my alto but am having some serious difficulty doing the same on tenor. I'm playing on a Martin Committie II, with an otto link 7*, and use 2.5 or 3 vandoren java's. I'm not looking to play really high notes just up to A or so. I was hopeing someone could give me some advice or stear me in the way of some.

Isolate yourself where it will not annoy people. Get any number of books with altissimo finger charts and go to work. It's gonna take some work but it will come. What really makes it happen is hearing/feeling exactly where those notes are and that will give you the confidence to nail them without too many malfunctions when actually playing with people. Your ear is more important than the equipment but a soft or soggy reed makes it tougher.
