SBA tenor

I recently picked up a 50K Selmer SBA tenor. It has the transitional engraving. I am curious though, would an earlier SBA tenor have a different sound? Does a late SBA sound more like an early mark vi? If anyone has some thoughts, happy to hear their opinion. thanks Rob:treble:

The SBAs of all years have more in common with each other than they do the MKVI. But, to tell the truth, if you can't tell the difference, there is no difference. The MKVI feel bigger on the low end. Notice I said feel bigger, not sound bigger. The perception of the player is often unlike the impression the listener gets.
