Well, I lost my Yanigasawa 901 soprano to my 81 year old Mom this week (a very good thing!!!). She decided to take up sax again after 60 years of not playing after she tried the Yani and found how easy it is to play (Selmer c* and #2 reed). She was doing surprisingly well when we left to come home. It will be interesting to see how much progress she has made when we visit again. If she can take up soprano at 81, I guess it doesn't leave much of an excuse for the rest of us.

I have this friend who's playing trumpet on the streets at age 65. I asked him once why he plays on the street for. His answer was that after working hard with a full time job all his live, raising his family etc, that that's how he wanna spend his retirement days.

Heck, when I'm 65 ...or 81, I wish I'll still have the health to do the same 8)
