Hello everyone,

Does anybody have any info on the the YNT990 ot T990 Yanagisawa Tenor. I am trying to decide which horn to get from the internet sellers and there is one at music123 for 1899. They said it is a refurbished model but they can't tell more about it or have pictures. They have a 45 day return policy. Is the 990 like the 900 as the 901 is to the 991. Does it have double keyarms for the lower keys. The picture at the web site is very hard to see.

I am looking for a horn that is more selmer like (but not in price) and I really like the 991 and 901 I tried locally in Albuquerque, but they want 2500 for the T901 (just the plain one) and almost 3200 for the t991. There is also a yamaha 62II for 1800 at prowinds. Although I play far out jazz (not music to some) - I know that my best bet for me is not a jazz horn(like a king or Conn or even the new Cannonball) but something that was built to satisfy classical musicians. Is the yamaha 62 as centered as the yanagisawa. I heard they are bright. I use a Meyer 4 TrueFlex Vintage mouthpiece and 4 vandoren and like the horn to be dark. Is it possible to make the Yamaha 62 II dark sounding as well(not smoky - but centered).

Thanks for any info that anyone of you might have.
