I haven't played my instrument in a while. Inside of the bell, there are some patches of black, dried spit that have accumulated. How should I get this out? Someone plesae give me his professional opinion.
Swishing around small amount of vinegar?

Just kidding.
Heck, I say just leave it in there. I know I would personally prefer a black, green, and gold saxophone to just a plain old gold one anyday. (As long as it was my black and green stuff.) Character is the name of the game.

It's not dried spit. It's algae, mold and mildew, a lot worse than spit.
