Ok, so I didn't know where to put this...
Anyways, I am a sophomore in high school, in a military marching band, and personally hate core marching, sorry, but through the football games other bands who don't military march, I have seen no reason to not hate it. I am also currently first chair, and am working towards all area, and if i can work up my tongueing and vibrato, my two main problems, and not get nervous like I do I think its attainable...and with even more practice maybe state. I'm sorry if I sound arrogant or pretentious, though if you met me in real life, you'd never guess that...anyway, I've been sorta made that way, because my school has had state alto players every year for at least 7 years, and every ones expecting me to keep that tradition up.
Ok, this got into a big ramble, what I meant to say was... who else here military marches? Because almost no one outside my city seems to...and It saddens me to see such a great style going out. Also, who hear has heard of Longview High School (56 consecutive first divisions in marching comp.)?
