What altissimo fingering you use on Bb (Bb4) on your tenor? It seem to be a very difficult pitch for me compare with all other altissimo notes (from G3 to E4).

Ive tried many Bb4 gingering, only this is work:

Octave + L-2 + 3/ Side C + R-1 + 2 + 3

But it sounds very flat (close to A3) and not stable.

Thanks.

I usually use: ok --3/--- + side C

wow...I have only needed to do altissimo in one song last year on tenor...amazing. It was "Fables of Faubus" by I don't know...but the fingering I used was...

- 2 3 | 1 2 3
o D(palm)

this fingering takes a bit to get used to, but due to the horn design, it is one of the easiest notes to get on the saxophone in the altissimo register next to High A.
Hope that helps

I find that fingering (given by mahill2006) works well for me also. I think of it as A4 + the side D key. For me it's more difficult to voice than the A4. Try sliding up to it by hitting A4 first, then adding the D key. This is also an effective way to play it when improvising, using the A4 as a leading tone.

LH3/side C (ala Big NIck) or LH3/RH12

Correction-----I meant A3, not A4. Sorry about that, it's easy to get these numbers confused.

Also, thanks Big Nick & MS for that LH3/side C fingering for Bb3. Works very well.
