Ok the thing is I got this student sax almost 7 years ago from a local music store for band and i was 10 at the time. My parents paid roughly $1100 for it plus it was used when they bought it. Anyways, I've outgrown it and am in bad need of an upgrade. So I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about these saxes and approximately how much $ I can get for mine.

~~Gold laquer shows wear only on the lower right thumb rest, the neck strap ring, and the bottom of the bow~~

~~Moderate scratches along the lower body w/one minor dent~~

~~Excessive scratching from bell to bow w/ eight minor dents (due to marching band)~~

~~I had ALL the pads replaced 2 years ago so they're in nice shape~~

~~Problem keys: upper set of spatula keys (they need to be realligned or something because the top key is like a cm below and to the left of the other three) -hard to explain really-~~

~~No leaks that I know of. The instrument has a nice strong tone~~

~~Serial # 968202~~

.....with all that being said, what do you guys think???

check on ebay for relaitave comparisons. I have a bundy too; dont expect to get what you paid for at all... I am donating it to my high school for a sax write off, it seems that is the best way to recover the price and get a new one...

Hey.

I just paid $220 for one, a case, and stand.

Here's a pic:

Is that what you have?

On Ebay, it's worth much less than $200.

By private sale, you *might* get $350. I've seen instruments like your description for sale for no more than $450 at a retail Second Hand Instrument store Frachise, and they tend to overprice what they sell.
