Looks like I'm the proud owner of a less than pristine Buescher C-melody stencil with a noticably flat neck. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&item=230016689978&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 used to be a wall hanger. Hope it doesn't have too many nail holes!

So do i, I paid about $250 Australian for mine (VI's go for 8-10k here) and it's still in bits (12 months)
I do love the look of a silver horn with the gold wash bell so it's going to be worth the time and effort.

Spider, If that neck is too far gone I believe I've got a stripped neck pipe in (no tenon or octave mechanism) that would get you back in business! Let me know if you're interested after it arrives! :)

Let us know how it goes, and good luck with the neck !!

Tbone, I would definitely be interested in the neck. Soldering a tenon and some hardware on a neck will probably be a lot easier than trying to repair this one. I'll know better when it arrives but it looks like a pancake. the seller said "most of the keys move" too, that has me a bit concerned.

Nothing a gallon of PBblaster can't fix! Only $19.99 at your local NAPA store!
Spider, PM or email me if or when you need a neck.8-)

OK. I received the sax today. By all indications looking at the keywork it is a buescher TT, but it has soldered tone holes. like martin but thinner and not bevelled the way most martins are. More like a york. Pre 1914?
Anyway it needs more than a neck to get it playing. The body is dented up bad and two tone holes are popped loose. A third is missing altogether. It's basically a parts horn. Unless...
Any pre 1914 buescher body tubes with solder tone holes lying around out there? LOL
