While most posts I've read here have been about alto players having trouble with the tenor, I am a bari player who would love to play tenor . Alto and Bari come easy as I've been playing bari for 7 years and some alto in between. On Tenor I can get all the notes out, but I have a problem projecting and getting a desirable tone. After playtesting some amazing horns, I found that I sounded more or less the same on all of them and had problems projecting and sounding nice from middle c# and up. My open c# was by far the worst sounding note to me on all the horns I tried. Besides obvious long tone exercises and such (I again have spent < 3 hours on a tenor in my life), are there any embochoure, stance, and any other tips to better my tenor playing from those of you who play bari?
