Playing a gig where I have to cover "simple" string lines and organ lines. Looking for the best inexpensive and easiest to operate 61-key electronic keyboard that can be hooked into a sound system board. Any suggestions as to what is available.

Thanks in advance.

Check out the Alesis QS6 (or 6.1 or 6.2). You can get one new for under $500, and there are tons of used ones around for less than that. I've used one for just what you're talking about, and it has worked well for me.

One suggestion: There are HUNDREDS of sounds in the keyboard, and I ended up using just a few, I actually made a little cheat sheet with the name and patch number of 4 or 5 sounds I used the most. I just taped the little slip of paper to the body of the keyboard so I could make switches quickly between or during tunes. I'm guessing that you could also configure "sets" of sounds for quick access.
