I just recently purchase a Buescher True Tone Alto Sax off of ebay and after it arrived I found that it didn't have a high "F" palm key, is there any way I could add an extension to get the high F? I really need the high F but I don't want to sell it because I love the sound it.

No high F palm key? Do you mean a front-F key (above the B key) so you can play high-F without using the palm keys?
I never heard of a TT that didn't have a high F palm key. . . .

You can get a pre-fab high F (front F of course) from Oleg's. It's rather pricey but it does the job. Just line it up real carefully; bend and file to tweak ; and solder in place.

Thanks hornlip for the correction yes the sax was without a front F not palm F key.

The later Buescher TT altos have the front F key work.
I have the Front F key from a Buescher TT alto here if you want it. Drop me a line and we can talk about it. bootman(at)bootmanmusic.com

You may do better to find an alternate fingering - something like a G2, G#2 or A2 with the E side key added - this is the type of thing used on sopranos or ninos with a scant complement of palm keys. You may have to experiment to get an accurate pitch.

Sorry, on my alto, F3 can be had by playing A2, G# key and side E key - its in tune on mine.
