Has this button been removed for a reason?

R"Today's Posts" button is still there when you are not logged in (and for unregistered users).
When you are logged in, it is replaced by the "New Posts" button which should be more useful. As fballatore pointed out, you will find Under Quick Links.

The "Todays Post" button really has disapeared now.
Can we have it back please?
I like to just fly in every now and again to check what's going on, but now I have to log in every time to find the Todays or New post button.
Maybe i'm lazy but it's a bit of a pain having to keep logging in. Especially as sotw automatically logs you out after a short while with no activity.
Thanks. D.
btw, I find the "Todays" button more useful than the "New" as I'm on a different timezone to most posters, usually have a bit of catching up to do.

You could tick the ' remember me ' box so that you are signed in automatically. 'Todays post ' is always there under the ' quick links ' . Thats what I do anyway.

Checking the 'Remember Me' box doesn't really keep you logged in. If there's no actviity for some time, then it still logs you out. I think that's how it works anyway. I do see that the 'Today's Posts' link is no longer there if you're not signed in. The other option is to just browse and look for forums and sub forums that have this next to them: http://71.6.135.46/vbulletin/images/statusicon/subforum_new.gif
That means that there are unread posts in there.

I know what you mean!;)
As everyone has suggested, the best way to keep abreast of all the latest posts in the last 24 hours is to use the QUICK LINKS drop down menu, and select TODAY'S POSTS.
This is more comprehensive than the NEW POSTS feature, and lists EVERY post in that time span, unlike New Posts, which selectively deletes those it assumes you have read in your last visit.

The issue remains, however, that you must log in
to access 'Quick Links' or 'New Posts' which is an
inconvenient change.
So, please, either "why the change" or "please
change it back."
For a long time I thought it was just my
computer/server/whatever.
Thank you,
rabbit

Why is the "new posts" list sometimes so short?? (3 or 4 threads or only one page)
I like it when I can scroll back chronologically over a few days, and see all the recent posts....this is especially good if I have been away for a while.
Am I just doing something wrong, or looking in the wrong place??

When you click the 'remeber me' box, it deposits a cookie into your "Cookies" folder, and when you delete your cookies (which most computers do automatically every so often) it doesn't remember you, so you get signed out.

Is there a way to check all new posts since a specific date? I like to log in and check stuff several times a day. If the 'new posts' button only gives me the ones since my last visit, I end up missing some new posts I didn't get to read when I logged in last. It seems this happens when I've been away for a few days and then I lose them all...I end up just searching specific forums but it's a little frustrating.

AKAIK, No. There might be a plugin or something for VBulletin that we could use, but I'm not 100%. So don't do what I just did to you (quote me :)).
