This is a hoax. I'm a little puzzled why so many people seem to believe it at face value - no slam on Mr. Mecca intended. When I first read it, I immediately assumed it was a jab at Lars et al in Metallica.

However, it was picked up by several news services, including yahoo. I also sent an uncommented link to many of my musician friends, thinking they would realize it was a joke immediately. You guessed it, everyone thought it was for real.

The fact is, scoopthis.com is run by one of the members of Unfaith, which is the band supposedly being sued. This has given them a lot of publicity, but the story is totally false.

Of course, the litigious Lars Ulrich might sue them now for all the bad publicity he's gotten.
