Hi!
I have a Selmer Tenor Mark 6 with silverplated keys! Are there any difference
in sound between silver and goldplated keys?
My Selmer Alto Mark 6 have goldplated keys, but you can't compere a tenor
with an alto soundwise in this matter!
My Tenor sounds somewhat bright!Maybe this have to do because it's
lacquered and have metal resonators! The look of a nonlacquered sax with
goldplated keys, make's me thinks of a darker sound!

No difference what so ever, the set up and mpc is the biggest difference you can have

But don't the gold ones sound more expensive?

The gold keys have a lush, golden deep fried tone. The silver keys produce a silvery, brilliant (but not overly bright) lyrical sonority.:D

Truth be told, it matters not.
