Inside.

seriously, though, it's in Bb concert and Sam's solo is realtively simple(which is part of it's beauty) if you're not good at transcribing it's a good one to try.

Hal Leonard creates tons of books, i have at least 10 in my room. It helps a lot of times if u know the group who sings the song... The Brian Setzer Orchestra other than that u hafta find it urself i have the song for the alto, i played through it for kicks the other night. good luck in ur search.

Wow...age differnce timewarp

It was originally done by Louis Prima in the 50's.

People who whine about their age deserve to be old.

Feel young, play young, be young! Go, get on it!

I agree, but I'm 28.

I'm 23, dig the older chicks and they dig me... till they find out my age from someone else.

Just for one night I'd like to be 28 and see what happens.

Louis Prima, Sam Buterea and the Witnesses. I think Brian Stetzer covered it about 5 years few years ago...his tenor player got it right, but Sam is the master. I feel real old too.....probably 'cause I am.

being old isnt bad its just the version that came in the book of like 30 songs. it coulda been the original or whatnot. its just that most ppl now think of brian setzer. im not that young (17 :D) and i know who originally played it, but your more likely to find the brian setzer version, atleat thats how it was for me.

Not really, it just depends where you look. I agree that most times now when Jump, Jive 'n' Wail is requested wherever it may be, the Brian Setzer Orchestra version is usually played (even for no other reason than it sounds more 'modern' in the recording ...). I had no trouble finding the Prima version, and the solo's the same, so it's not too hard to work with anyway, whichever version you lift from. I played it with a band in June and it only took me a couple of minutes to figure it out.

Go for the original at all times if you can, others that come later are sometimes "interpretations" of the original. (of course that's coming fomr a 44 year old ;-D) But the "feel" is different between Sam's version and the Setzer cover.

btw, for tenor c2-c1, you can take it from there. ;-)
