The Sax on the Web (SOTW) Forum is a moderated Discussion Board. All posts and threads not conforming to topics defined in this charter and rules or amendments thereof are subject to cancellation or deletion at the moderator's and/or administrator's sole discretion.
==============
The primary focus of this group is saxophones and everything that has to do with playing, maintaining or selling and buying saxophones. Your contributions to this Forum must pertain to these topics. Off-topic discussion threads should be posted in the “SOTW Forum Lounge (http://www.saxontheweb.net/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=82)” area or submitted to the approval of the moderators/administrator. Also note, that topics of religion and world politics should be avoided – Including inside avatars and signatures – because they often lead into useless personal debates.
Please note that the Forum software (vBulletin) places a cookie in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to maintain your User ID during the session and to save any preferences you might set while on the SOTW Forum (e.g. colors, "posts since last visit", etc.). The cookie is not used to collect information about you or your computer.

Respect the Moderators and Administrators
We try to be fair, but in some situations we can't always make everyone happy. If you think that the actions taken were wrong, you can PM any of us to discuss; if a final word is given, accept it.
Starting a thread to continue a locked or removed thread is a Bad Idea.
Starting a thread to dispute the locking or removal of a thread is a Really Bad Idea.
Making a personal attack on a mod or admin for any decision that the mod or admin made is an Incredibly Bad Idea, and subject to disciplinary action.
Remember that no one is omniscient -- especially us
Try to see the other person's point of view -- they may not realize they're being insulting. Text removes a great deal of the nuance that we rely on in our daily lives, and it's pretty easy for a witty jibe to become a severe affront if read in the wrong frame of mind.
In addition to this, the mods aren't out to get you. Sometimes they don't notice an inflammatory post, or don't realize when you might be kidding. If you ever see anything that needs to be brought to our attention, tell us!
