SML alto bargain

I bought an SML silverplated Gold Medal alto SR 19000 at the musicshop around the corner. The shop was recently taken over by two nice young guys who found this and a True Tone alto in a closet. The sold the horn to me for 450 euroThe former owner must have traded in mayby 10 years ago for a new horn. It was dented at the bow and a few dents in the tube. but de tube was straight, the neck was ok. The corks and pads were completely dried out and the silver looked so awfull i thougt it was nickel. I brougt it to my repairman and had the dents removed and had it completely overhauled, wich cost me 395 euro. When I got it back I new it was silver, it shined like hell, lookt wonderfull, and played as it looked, A brighter tone than my very early MkVI, just a little less, but what a horn!
I bought it for a good friend who wants to play alto. made him happy.
For 845 euro(910 dollar) he owes a killerhorn :D
