I play a King Super 20 (#484xxx) alto with a Meyer M5M Mouthpiece and Hemke reeds (2.5). The sound is fantastic :D although it is a newer horn without any Super 20 specials (f.e. silver neck).
I also play a Super 20 Tenor horn with a Dukoff L7 mouthpiece and LaVoz MS reeds. This saxophone has the s/n 719xxx. The sound is powerful and rich and the intonation is very good.
But I have one problem. I canīt overblow it.
Does anybody have an advice what I can do :?:

Your only hope is to work up to some more manly tip openings. Something in the .120" - .130" range, with at least a #4 reed.

But seriously, why do want to be able to "overblow" it? What effect are you trying to accomplish?

meruhl,

thanks for your answer.

I donīt like playing to much in the altissimo range. But sometimes it could be helpful for improvisation.
I have no problems playing altissimos with my alto sax.

So by "overblow", you mean being able to play altissimo? As I'm sure you know, that just takes time and practice - working on the overtone series. Hang in there!
