I guess quite a few people tryed them out as curiosity or second horns. I am still glad that I made the switch from my YTS 62 to this P. Its way sturdier and you really can't mar the finish unless you try and the tone has the body of the YTS but more depth and core to my ears. I trialed a Jupiter Artist out of curiosity myself today after hearing Ken at saxscape play one. It's a good horn and I like the feel better than my P. Tone is also a notch better. But I gig. And this P has the body so I can hear myself on funk or Rnb and I know that this Artist would get lost tonally or I'd hurt my already aggravated back pushing it for body. So, I'm happy with what I have . (for now? ) K

Keith,
I see more on this site too. Makes me wish I had waited a few months...they're going for around $2K. I could have used the extra cash.

I am very happy with my PM's. They both get a good workout about 2 times a week. That's not exactly gigging or playing consistently, but I work too much to play them very much.

I think any new horn is going to get Curious George's who buy, try and move on. Some never find their tonal concept in the horns they have. I've found mine. And I love the SJVI neck on my alto.

It's funny, I love my P, but I will admit that the prospect of selling it for about $400 *more* than what I paid for it brand new with a Sax Alley setup is tempting. Especially since I don't play much anymore. I could buy back my old Aristocrat, deal with the intonation problems, and still come out a few hundred bucks ahead.... makes me think....
